Tarrant County College has leased 14,568 square feet for a corporate training center at the AllianceTexas development in Fort Worth.

The center offers customized training for new and existing employees.

The college had been providing training at the Alliance Opportunity Center and on-site at companies, but it needed more room, said Kathleen Noble, associate vice chancellor of continuing education services.

“There’s so much need for training in computers, safety and communications, and so forth,” she said.

The college has trained thousands of employees at about 60 companies in the AllianceTexas area, Ms. Noble said. AllianceTexas has 170 companies and 28,000 workers.

Training is not restricted to companies at AllianceTexas but is for any company in Tarrant County
