Home is where the heart is, and for more than 25 years, Hillwood has developed premier communities where families and people come together in comfort and style.
Single Family Communities
Since its inception in 1988, Hillwood Communities has managed and developed more than 70 communities, more than 23,000 lots and two multifamily communities across the United States and Costa Rica. Hillwood creates its residential investments for long-term growth in emerging, attractive neighborhoods, making home ownership and a high-quality of life attainable.
We invite you to discover the many reasons why thousands of people have chosen to make a Hillwood community their home. We are also continually looking for opportunities to expand our residential portfolio.
Hillwood Communities currently oversees 35 active communities in 28 cities, seven states and two countries. To guide our development work, Hillwood established a new formula for intelligent and efficient living, incorporating five LiveSmart principles into each of our communities:
- Sense of Community
- Healthy Living
- Environmental Stewardship
- Education & Enrichment
In 2012, Hillwood broke ground on its first “Live Smart” community, Harvest, a $1 billion, 1,150-acre master-planned, mixed-use development in Northlake/Argyle, Texas near Fort Worth. Harvest brings a fresh, modern approach to the region’s rich farming history by honoring its past with a touch of new urban agrarianism.
A wide array of award-winning urban living options comprise Hillwood’s multifamily properties within the 18,000-acre AllianceTexas development in north Fort Worth.
Living options range from traditional apartment flats to townhome-style apartments with garage options. Each community provides a diverse mix of floor plans and a complete assortment of amenities including resort-style swimming pools, fitness centers, dog parks, outdoor social and grilling areas, and spacious resident lounges and clubrooms for entertaining.
Hillwood Multifamily plans to develop more than 5,000 units total at AllianceTexas over the next decade to meet the increasing housing demand driven by a growing employment and population base throughout north Texas.
Hillwood West serves as an equity and capital provider for experienced builders and developers in the western U.S., primarily in California and Hawaii. The operation provides an alternative to more traditional sources of development capital and adds significant value to its partners through its expertise across the development lifecycle.
