Fort Worth Alliance Air Show a flight of fancy

WHEN: Gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Aerial shows begin at 9:30 a.m. and last till about 5 p.m.

COST: Admission is free. Parking is $15 per vehicle. Access to the Flight Deck is $10 and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Cockpit is available on a first-come, first-served basis for $15 per person Sunday only and includes covered and uncovered seating and access to private restrooms. The Captain’s Club offers premium air show seating, personal restrooms and a buffet-style lunch for $80 per seat.

ACTIVITIES: Aerial performances include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Army Sky Soldiers, Air Force Reserve Jet Car and U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle. Static displays on the ground include a variety of aircraft. There is also a Kid Zone with bounce houses and obstacle courses, a Virtual Army Experience Exhibit, several simulators and Huey helicopter rides.

GOOD TO KNOW: Bags, umbrellas, portable chairs and cameras are allowed. Food, drinks and coolers are not allowed, though families may bring necessary food items for children younger than 2. Pets are not allowed. Food will be available for purchase, and free water will be available. Hearing protection, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended.
