Winners Revealed: The D CEO Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards

D CEO magazine revealed the winners of its 2025 Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards during a private event held July 24 at South Side Ballroom in Dallas. Presented in partnership with Communities Foundation of Texas, the annual program honors outstanding nonprofit organizations—and the companies and leaders who champion their missions.

This year, more than 800 nominations were submitted, reflecting the strength of the region’s nonprofit sector and the deep philanthropic commitment of North Texas’ business community. Winners were selected by D CEO editors, and all finalists are featured in the magazine’s August issue.

 

Corporate Citizenship Honorees

Corporate Leadership Excellence

Winner: Tom Harris, Hillwood

At Hillwood, Tom Harris has spearheaded major workforce and education efforts, including the AllianceTexas Workforce Center and aviation training partnerships that have upskilled thousands of workers. As chair of Fort Worth’s Mayor’s Council on Education and Workforce Development, he’s helping to build a strong pipeline from classrooms to high-demand careers. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Harris and his wife founded the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation after losing their daughter to suicide. The organization has raised more than $1 million through nationwide cycling events, funded pioneering mental health research, and now delivers prevention programs reaching 120,000 students across 136 schools. Earlier, after the death of their infant son, the couple also launched a nonprofit focused on SIDS, raising millions for awareness and research.
