AllianceTexas generates $40B in economic activity

AllianceTexas has generated $40 billion in economic activity and paid more than $948 million in property taxes since 1990, project developers told the Fort Worth City Council on Tuesday.

Hillwood Properties, developer of the 17,000-acre project, presented the findings of research conducted by Insight Research Corp.

AllianceTexas is a master-planned development anchored by an industrial airport and home to the operations of 265 companies.

Developers pointed to several highlights of ongoing activity at Alliance including:

The October opening of the $300-million, 712,000-square-foot Deloitte University at Circle T Ranch in Westlake.

Opening of the 123,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace in January at Alliance Town Center.

The August announcement of plans for a 14-screen, Cinemark movie theater to be constructed in Phase 2 of Alliance Town Center.

The planned 2012 opening of the 189,000-square-foot Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance and North Hills Hospital’s 10,500-square-foot ER at Alliance.
