To expand its local office capabilities Public Communications Services Inc., a national provider of inmate telecommunications systems for correctional facilities, will close its Keller office and relocate to Fort Worth’s Alliance Global Logistics Hub to open a research, development and manufacturing facility and hire up to 30 additional employees.
Los Angeles-based Public Communications Services (PCS), inked a 18,726-square-foot lease in Alliance’s Gateway 15 building at the Alliance Global Logistics Hub, which is being developed by Hillwood Development Co., to establish PCS’s engineering and technology center.
PCS will close its office at 1103 Keller Parkway and relocate the office’s 25 employees to the AllianceTexas location with plans to add up to 30 additional jobs, according to PCS Director of Marketing Seth Kekessie.
When fully operational, PCS expects to handle manufacturing, staging, product development, technical services, and customer care at its new facility, which is located at 4700 Alliance Gateway Freeway in the Fort Worth section of the development.
“We wanted to be able to do more things,” Kekessie said. “The Keller office does product development and some staging and we wanted to be able to do more technical services.”
Reid Goetz, marketing manager for Hillwood Properties, said telecommunications is one of the largest industry sectors at Alliance.
“The in-place technology infrastructure along with the skilled telecom and engineering labor force make Alliance the perfect location for the PCS engineering and manufacturing facility,” Goetz said.
