BENJAMIN MOORE & CO. TO OPEN IN SKYLINE PARK

Christine PerezPaint manufacturer Benjamin Moore & Co. will open up a new distribution center in Skyline Business Park in Mesquite next month. The 70,000-square-foot operation will serve a seven-state region and employ about 15.The lease takes Skyline Business Park, a four-building, 1.6 million-square-foot industrial complex, to 100% occupied.Dallas-based Hillwood began developing the project in 2000, with a 530,000-square-foot build-to-suit for Shippers Warehouse and a 400,000-square-foot build-to-suit for ICON Health & Fitness. Since then, other tenants have come on board, including Georgia-Pacific, Gerard Roofing, Pride Mobility and Bronco Packaging.Benjamin Moore, which was founded in 1883, was represented by Seth Kelly, Ann Huntington and Ryan Keiser with Trammell Crow Co.Preston Herold with Hillwood, along with Larry Leon and Ned Washburn with CB Richard Ellis Inc., represented the landlord. Herold said Skyline has proven to be one of Hillwood’s most successful developments, both in terms of leasing and in bringing jobs and economic development to Mesquite.
