CB RICHARD ELLIS TO MARKET CALIF. PROJECT FOR HILLWOOD CB Richard Ellis said Wednesday that Dallas-based real estate developer Hillwood Development Corp. hired CBRE as the leasing agent for a 135-acre development next to Ontario (Calif.) International Airport.CBRE, a Los Angeles-based real estate services firm, will market the 2.5 million square feet of office, retail, industrial and air commerce space on the Hofer Ranch site for Hillwood, a Perot company.The development plans will preserve and integrate as much as 30 acres of existing vineyards and homestead, including the original farmhouse and barn. There is currently more than 900,000 square feet of office space under construction in the two counties comprising the Inland Empire region, which includes Ontario, Calif. Most of that space is being filled by white-collar professionals leaving Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties, according to regional economist John Husing.
