Hall Of Fame Names Two New Inductees

DALLAS (Dallas Business Journal) – Ross Perot Jr. and James E. Sowell have been selected for induction into the North Texas Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame for their significant contributions to the commercial real estate industry in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Perot, who is chairman of both The Perot Group and Hillwood, led Dallas’ Victory Park project over the last decade.

“In ten years, Perot has spearheaded the nation’s largest brownfield cleanup to date while creating an upscale, high-tech urban environment in the process,” wrote David S. Jones and Dr. Harold Hunt in the October 2008 issue of Tierra Grande magazine.

Sowell is president of Sowell and Co., an investment firm formed in 1972. Sowell was also the majority stockholder in American General Hospitality Inc., which was the largest operator of Hilton Hotels in the world.
