Hard Rock Cafe stages its Dallas comeback

Hard Rock International, the parent company of the Hard Rock Cafe chain of restaurants, said Wednesday Hard Rock is coming back to Dallas.

Hard Rock’s original Dallas restaurant opened in 1986 on McKinney Avenue, but closed two decades later, so the company could explore more strategic options for the market.

The result is a new Hard Rock cafe that will be located at 2211 N. Houston St. on the southern end of the Victory Park urban development center.

The new location is slated to feature 8,900 square feet of space that will house a 265-seat restaurant, outdoor dining and memorabilia from Hard Rock’s collection.

Hard Rock is expected to welcome back former employees who are interested in returning to the restaurant.
