Developer Hillwood Residential is breaking ground Wednesday on the next phase in its Twin Creeks community in Allen.
The 2,400-acre development west of U.S. Highway 75 is being built in a partnership with Dal-Briar Corp.
Hillwood founder Ross Perot Jr. will be on hand Wednesday morning when construction starts on 40 more residential lots in the project, which is already home to more than 2,400 families.
The work starting Wednesday will be one of the last phases of Twin Creeks.
Construction has been underway on the project since 1993.
Allen is one of the Dallas-area’s fastest growing communities. According to the City of Allen, there have been 450 housing starts during the last year.
