North Fort Worth’s huge AllianceTexas community is about to get a new apartment community.
Developer Hillwood Properties plans to start work soon on a second rental home project in its successful Monterra Village development on North Tarrant Parkway at Interstate 35W.
“It’s a good time for us to get another project going,” said Hillwood Properties president Mike Berry. “We are going to be aggressive on the retail and apartment projects at Alliance.”
Berry said the 262-unit project will be adjacent to the original Monterra Village apartment complex. That 288-unit development opened in 2008.
“We’ve been full for four or five months now and we’ve been able to push up our rents,” he said.
The new apartment development will be located just south of the growing Alliance Town Center retail and commercial project.
Hillwood recently announced that movie theater operator Cinemark will build a 14-screen cinema in the project.
