Perot’s Hillwood brings in Exxon Mobil architect to design new Turtle Creek tower

The Perot family, with the help of Hillwood Urban, has begun working with the award-winning architect Jon Pickard and his team on the design of a very different office tower on a high-profile tract along Turtle Creek Boulevard.

New Haven, Connecticut-based Pickard Chilton — the same firm behind Exxon Mobil’s new Houston campus and Devon Energy’s new 50-story corporate tower in Oklahoma City — has been hired to put together some conceptual plans for a 15- to 18-story office tower at the southwest corner of Cedar Springs Road and Turtle Creek Boulevard.

“This is very different than what we have on Field Street and in Victory Park,” Mike Berry, president of Fort Worth-based Hillwood, told the Dallas Business Journal in an exclusive interview. “Of all the assets in Hillwood Urban, this has the potential to be a very cool building.
