Proposed Rezoning For Warehouses Draws Protest From Olive Branch Residents

WHBQ-TV (Fox, Memphis, TN): A proposed rezoning for warehouses east of Olive Branch is drawing protest from those who live in neighborhoods near the proposed warehouses. Expressed concerns include noise pollution, increased traffic and decreased home values. Hillwood is the company proposing the development and says it would bring in almost $2 million in property and sales tax revenue annually, and that traffic would only increase by 5 percent. Hillwood says they would provide a buffer 15 times more than what is mandated by DeSoto County, and would neatly landscape the area. (See full story.)
