Sam Moon is on track to open its jewelry and women’s accessories store in north Fort Worth before summer 2008, said Patrick Murphy, director of real estate.
News reports in 2005 had pegged the opening date to this spring, but Murphy said the plan all along had been to open the Sam Moon megaplex in 2008.
The 20-acre site is part of the Alliance Town Center shopping center east of Interstate 35W, between Heritage Trace and North Tarrant parkways.
But it’s not just about jewelry and handbag imports — the store will also anchor other stores in the shopping center.
Those will include a Sam Moon luggage and gifts store, and stores such as Nine West, Haggar and Anne Klein.
The Sam Moon Trading Co. has similar locations in Dallas, Frisco and Houston.
The jewelry and women’s accessories store is a draw for busloads of visitors who want to stock up amid a wall-to-wall selection of inexpensive jewelry and handbags.
