A recent 20-acre transaction between Trademark Property Co., Hillwood Properties and Sam Moon Trading Co., is bound to have bargain shoppers in an uproar. Sam Moon Trading Co., a discount fashion accessories and handbags store with locations in Dallas and Plano, has agreed to purchase 20 acres in Alliance Town Center in AllianceTexas, located in northern Fort Worth.
AllianceTexas is a 17,000-acre, mixed-use community planned and developed by Dallas’ Hillwood Development Company. Alliance Town Center is a planned, 1 million-square-foot shopping mall under construction within the development.
According to a Hillwood release, Sam Moon Group plans to construct 150,000 square feet of retail space, including its signature stores: Sam Moon Trading Company, Sam Moon Luggage and Gifts, and Sam Moon Home Decor Store, along with several other stores that work in concert with Sam Moon in its existing centers.
“Sam Moon has found that many of our customers are traveling from the Tarrant County/Fort Worth region to shop in our Dallas location,” said Sam Moon, company founder. “This Alliance Town Center location will not only allow us to be closer to some of our existing customers but to develop a deeper customer base in the western part of the North Texas region.”
Sam Moon, as well as other tenants at the mall, is expected to open in spring 2007.
