U.S. NAVY BLUE ANGELS TO HIGHLIGHT 2009 FORT WORTH ALLIANCE AIR SHOW ON OCTOBER 24 AND 25

FORT WORTH, Texas (Dec. 16, 2008) – While at the International Council of Air Shows Convention in Las Vegas last week, the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show secured the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as the featured performer for the 2009 event, which is scheduled for October 24-25.

In addition the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show earned first place in the event website category (www.allianceairshow.com) and third place in the event sponsor package category at annual ICAS Marketing Awards Luncheon held during the convention.

Joining the Blue Angels at this year’s show will be the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, as well as an array of thrilling performers and military demonstration teams that will be announced once they are confirmed.

The primary beneficiary for the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is the USO of Dallas/Fort Worth, whose mission is to support U.S. troops and their families by providing a wide range of free amenities, such as food, internet and e-mail access, housing assistance, and nursery facilities. In addition the USO offers a unique benefit to service members through the United Through Reading Program, which records soldiers reading a children’s book, then sends the new book and the recording to his or her family.

The Fort Worth Alliance Air Show traditionally attracts a two-day crowd of approximately 180,000 people.
