VICTORY PARK PROVIDES INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS TO RESIDENCES AND BUSINESSES

Victory Park Provides Innovative Technology Solutions to Residences and Businesses

Dallas – On the heels of the recent W Dallas Victory opening, Victory Park announced plans today to install and operate a state-of-the-art high-speed fiber optic network to serve its residences and businesses located in the district.

Victory Park and Perot Systems have teamed up with DataBank, a leading local provider of managed communications services, to build and operate a high speed fiber-optic network to provide Victory Park tenants with access to the latest voice, data, video, internet and security services. With Victory Park’s fiber network, a common fiber optic backbone allows tenants to select their provider of choice (Verizon, AT&T, etc.) for telephone, data and/or internet services without carriers commissioning their own street construction to install new infrastructure.

Utilizing the fiber optic network, Victory Park plans to provide wireless internet access, sophisticated state-of-the-art security monitoring, and the world’s largest permanent outdoor digital art gallery called ‘Victory Media Network,” to its visitors.

Keeping with the Victory Park prevalent but discrete technology design, residences at the newly-opened W Dallas Victory currently have the luxury of using a speed-dial feature for various hotel amenities such as making an appointment at Bliss Spa, ordering a meal or snack from room service, arranging the valet to have their car ready and/or taking advantage of W’s “Whatever, Whenever” concierge service. W Dallas Victory residents that have already moved in are taking full advantage of this amenity and have enjoyed the high level of service the W Hotels brand is known for.

All services ride over the fiber optic network backbone which was designed into the W Dallas Victory building infrastructure.

“We always felt that one of our differentiators was our ability to leverage our real estate development expertise and technological capabilities at Perot Systems to create a unique experience for our visitors and tenants,” said Dave Newgard, director of Information Technology for Victory Park.

“We have been building ‘neutral host, multi-carrier’ backbone networks for commercial businesses for years, but extending this to master-planned urban communities like Victory Park is a new approach,” says Brandon Freeman, chairman of DataBank and president of Freeman Group. “It’s a practice only a few advanced, forward-thinking developments, like Victory Park, are designing into their overall plans.”

With the upcoming launch of Victory Media Network next March, the district will feature over 4,600 square feet of digital, high resolution, video and audio content streaming from 11 LED boards in Victory Plaza and will deliver content to the Victory Media Network district kiosks. The LED boards will offer visitors an interactive mix of education, entertainment and digital art and provide brand advertisers with an opportunity to create unprecedented immersive environments and captivating experiences.
