Dallas’ Victory project has signed another office tenant.
Developer Hillwood said Thursday that Gromatzky Dupree and Associates LLC has leased 22,891 square feet in the Victory Plaza buildings next to American Airlines Center.
Gromatzky Dupree is moving its corporate offices from 2626 Cole Ave.to the Victory location. About 75 employees will make the move in April.
“We looked at several buildings in the Uptown area, including our present location, as well as several in downtown,” said partner Charles Gromatzky.
He said the firm likes Victory’s location on DART’s light-rail line and its proximity to the Trinity River Corridor, the Oak Lawn Design District and the new Woodall Rodgers Park.
With the new contract, the Victory Plaza buildings are about 90 percent leased, with other tenants including Carson Private Capital, Schlegel Sports & Entertainment, Energy Future Holdings, Public Strategies, Hillwood and WFAA-TV (Channel 8).
Gromatzky Dupree, a 25-year-old architectural firm, also has offices in Tucson and Phoenix.
It designed one of the largest buildings in Victory, the 252-unit Cirque apartment tower.
Gromatzky Dupree’s other projects include parts of the new Park Lane development on North Central Expressway, the Jones Day Building in Uptown’s Harwood International Center, and the 1900 McKinney apartment tower.
Kim Gromatzky of Ellen Terry Realtors negotiated the lease with Hillwood’s Bill Brokaw.
