Winners of the 2010 Lehigh Valley Sustainability Awards
The Lehigh Valley Branch of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) honored green projects, organizations, and individuals for their contribution to sustainability and green design in Lehigh Valley, PA. One outstanding entrant per category received the top award per division during the gala ceremony at the Hotel Bethlehem, 437 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA.
Private Project: Confection Connection, Just Born, Lehigh Valley Industrial Park V, Bethlehem Twp, PA
This LEED Gold certified warehouse is the central storage and distribution point for all Just Born products. Adapting and expanding an existing 600,710 square-foot structure, the building was fully conditioned and full redundancy on major HVAC and electrical systems was achieved. The walls and roof were provided with additional insulation to the thickness that provided the optimum savings in both mechanical equipment and operating costs.
