December 8, 2016 [Manvel, Tex.]– Pomona, Hillwood Communities’ 1,000-acre master-planned residential Live SmartSM community in the Houston-area, and the Pearland Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting today to showcase the community’s new recreational facility that is nearing completion of its first phase of development.
Upon completion, the newly developed 2,900 square foot recreational center will feature nine private cabanas, as well as offices and conference rooms for the Pomona staff. The development will also include two large pools for the community’s enjoyment, collectively covering 6,000 square-feet of surface water. The facility, named Camp Pomona, will be joined to a state of the art “exploration zone” playground, complete with a slide and event lawn with festoon lighting, overlooking the bayou. The facility is also fully equipped with cutting-edge audio, visual and security equipment for entertainment and safety. The grand opening of the facility is scheduled for January 2017.
“We are thrilled to be joined by the Pearland Chamber of Commerce to celebrate this new recreational center. Our goal was to create a facility that could be utilized by all residents and that would bring the Pomona community together,” said General Manager of Pomona Russell Bynum. “We have high hopes for the new center and look forward to the great experiences and memories that it will bring.”
