Real-Estate Company Seeks to Expand Market Presence
HOUSTON – Hillwood Communities, a Perot company, announced today the appointment of real estate industry veteran Russell (Russ) Bynum as general manager for its Houston region.
Russ, a civil engineer who earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston, has a background in acquisitions, land development, project management, contract negotiations, third-party coordination, agency consultation and financial analysis.
Russ, most recently vice president of land development with homebuilder Taylor Morrison, will oversee Hillwood’s master-planned community projects, as well as future acquisitions and developments in Houston.
Hillwood’s latest project in Houston is Pomona, another LiveSmart community that focuses on Lifestyle, Healthy Living, Education, Environmental Stewardship and Technology. The 1,000- acre development is conserving 300 acres, which will be devoted to green space and running trails. The home prices range from the $360s to $600s. Resort-style amenities, including pools, a playground and open-air cabanas, will be ready this fall.
Pomona will also offer a “Fish Camp,” a fishing pier on the lake that will offer catch-and-release fishing for its residents.
