Hillwood Expands its Acquisition, Development and Joint Venture Investment Business

Hillwood announced today the expansion of its acquisition, development and joint venture investment business focused on logistics/industrial real estate investment opportunities throughout the U.S.

“As we continue to grow our U.S. logistics/industrial business, we recognized a need for additional strategic support,” said Tom Fishman, Hillwood executive vice president of acquisitions and dispositions. “With the growth of our team, Hillwood will expand into new markets while maintaining momentum in our existing markets.”

The firm has added four associates to the team:

Based in Hillwood’s Atlanta office, Amy Curry focuses on sourcing logistics/industrial opportunities in the East Coast States of the U.S. Previously with GLP, Curry was directly responsible for a 90 million-square-foot industrial portfolio throughout 21 U.S. markets.

Charlie Cullum, located in Hillwood’s Dallas office, focuses on the center third of the U.S. which covers Midwestern States along with Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas. Cullum was previously a director of industrial acquisitions and joint ventures for L&B Realty Advisors, a $9 billion institutional real estate advisor.

Also based in Dallas, Jason Kushner has joined the Hillwood team and focuses on the western third of the U.S. This area includes Colorado, Utah, Arizona, California and the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining Hillwood, Kushner was with Exeter Property Group and responsible for acquisitions, leasing, and asset management in these same markets.

Completing the team was the promotion of Emily Brandt, who has been with Hillwood since 2014.  Emily will provide integral underwriting, analysis, and research support for the entire team.

“As both a developer and investment manager, we have the experience and financial resources to serve as a great partner and capital provider for a wide variety of projects,” said Chris Brown, Hillwood’s senior vice president of joint ventures serving the U.S. and Canada markets. “Over the last few years, we have seen great success in partnering with other respected developers and landowners to build state-of-the-art industrial properties.”
