Ross Perot Jr. forms investment fund with veteran tech executive

DALLAS – (May 16, 2014) – Ross Perot Jr. has formed a new investment fund, Perot Jain, LP, in partnership with Anurag Jain, a veteran information technology executive, business leader and social entrepreneur. The partnership focuses on early-stage companies that are developing transformative technologies.

Perot Jain will target companies with substantial growth opportunities and that have current annual revenue in a range of approximately $25 million to $50 million. The fund will provide capital as well as access to a broad range of business expertise and services. Geographically, the fund will primarily focus on the United States and India.

“I have worked closely with Anurag Jain for 12 years, and the breadth of his business expertise and the depth of his insights into global technology are outstanding,” Perot Jr. said. “He recognizes companies and technology with high potential, and he provides the necessary mentorship to create successful and scalable operations.”

Jain is chairman of Access Healthcare Services, a healthcare IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider. He also founded Anavo Global, which nurtures social enterprises that alleviate poverty, and Laurus Edutech, which is among the largest vocational training companies in India. Earlier in his career, Jain was a senior executive with Dell Services and Perot Systems. Previously, he established multiple successful businesses including Vision Healthsource, which he sold to Perot Systems in 2003.

Perot Jr. is chairman of The Perot Companies, which manages the various Perot family businesses and investments. He also is chairman of Hillwood, one of the top real estate developers in the US. He is a founder of Perot Systems Corporation where he served as CEO from 2000 to 2004, and as chairman from 2004 until the company was acquired by Dell Inc. in 2009.
